Snooty Pantaloons

I'm sure we all know someone like this in our lives. They're snooty, and dumb and like to be show-off's. But they sure are fun to doodle.

The Scarely's

This is the Scarely family. They're just like you and me... dysfunctional. The grandparents are the mom's parents. Uncle Clem is the mom's "special" brother. And, Grandpa Horris is the dad's father who was killed in a tragic hunting expedition in the Congo by a lone skinny, phobic lion. Of the kids Vilmar is the evil mastermind, Mildred is smart but gets distracted by shiny things and Herbert stays quiet most of the time but he is actually a genius and secretly loves pretty rainbows. Enjoy!

Illustration Friday: Opposites

So anyone who know my sister and me know that we have shown our oppositeness from a very young age. She has chubby cheeks, I look like somewhat starved at times. She is a very big animal lover, I love them from afar, or up close as long as I don't have to clean them. I love drawing and art, Natalia is still drawing the same doggy doodle I taught her how to do when we were six. But even with all of this we have always been best friends and I love her inspite of my better judgement. This picture honors our opposite ways.

Random Doodles

Hello Everyone. Well I've been pretty busy these last couple of days, but I don't want to leave you all abandoned so I am going to post some doodles that I cleaned up and added color to. I will post some newer things soon.

Saturday Drawings

I wanted to try something new, using the pencil line for defining borders, but bringing down the opacity a little bit so it wouldn't be too harsh. I'm not sure if I'm 100% satisfied with the outcome, but I still think there's something there.

I did this second picture in more my usual style, though I did some things with a self-line and some without, like the sun and the buildings. I thought not adding the self-line would make them seem farther away. Enjoy.

Belated Illustration Friday Post

A few weeks ago the theme for Illustration Friday was Dance, but I wasn't participating back then so I didn't get to create my version. As such, I have decided to be the rebel that I am and do the theme now and post the picture. That's right I live on the edge and I don't care what anyone thinks. Hope you like it.

A quick post before bed

Good evening dear chaps! I just wanted to post some pictures before I went to bed. Have to keep the fans happy (all three of them. Hi Mom!).
This is my mom and me at the beach last weekend. I am taking the picture and wearing my trademark big bonnett

This is my mom. Doesn't she look pretty? And if you think she looks cuter in my bonnett than me you might be right but I don't want to hear about it.

And, Mom looking like she's lost in her floppy hat. Come towards the light Mom! Come towards the light!!!!

This is what happens when you leave me in the car alone for too long while you run into Boston Market to get dinner... We don't like to say I have problems, we like to say I am very special.

And just because this is a place to post doodles, here is one I like to call King of the Hill.

Inner monologue of my doodle:

"Do you think it's easy being a King? Not just anyone can be King you know. Not just anyone can make a paper mache crown, turn their favorite polka dot towel into a robe and get just the right baseball for a king-sticky-thingy-ma-bob. Pssshhh..."

A look into some 3D work

Tonight I'm going to post some images of a little project I'm working on in my spare time. The story revolves around a little girl who lives in a very little planet and doesn't have any friends. Now, in this universe there are hundreds of little planets and in order to get from one to another you need... a spaceship!

So these are three spaceships that I've modeled. They're not done yet but I'm almost there.

The little blue one belongs to the protagonist, and the other two will look fancier and belong to two snooty girls.

You can see that the little blue one is much smaller than the other ones, but cuter! It's kinda like the blue one is a little Honda and the other two are Lexus'.

Here are some close up shots of the three ships

Oh, and tha'ts a teddy bear there in the second seat of the purple spaceship. I hope you like them and I'll post more images of the project soon.

New Hampshire and other tid bits

Well this weekend was very eventful. We went up to New Hampshire and picked up our new car, a 2001 Saturn of ambigious pigment (some say green/black, some say blue/black I just say you're all crazy it's BLACK!).

So this is the new addition to our family and I have decided to call him Bernard, Bernie for short.

And on the tid bits side of things here is a picture of a little old guy I drew during the five hour drive up to get the car. I like to call it Hip-Hop Grandpappy. His street name is Delicious.

(I know... I have to come up with a better background. I will work on that and post the update later on).

My Very Frist Post

Well, I've been reading other artist's blog's for a while now and always thought it was a cool idea, and I figured this is as good a time as any to start my own. Of course this decision might have been aided by the fact that's it's almost 4am and I'm still awake. Well I hope that someday someone manages to stumble by my little blog and likes what they see, and if not at least my boyfriend, who will be forced to visit, can see what I'm up to.

Now, since this will be a place where I can post my doodles I thought I would add my frist picture as well. It's my take on this weeks Illustration Friday theme: rain. Hope you like it.
