I wanted to try something new, using the pencil line for defining borders, but bringing down the opacity a little bit so it wouldn't be too harsh. I'm not sure if I'm 100% satisfied with the outcome, but I still think there's something there.
I did this second picture in more my usual style, though I did some things with a self-line and some without, like the sun and the buildings. I thought not adding the self-line would make them seem farther away. Enjoy.

I like the mermaid very much, it has a dream feel to it. I can already see a whole story around this one picture, great way to capture a moment. The city does look farther away in the second picture. Is she rocking back and forth? The dancer is my favorite though, she is very pretty, and the picture is gorgeous. Good thing you are a rebel.
